Scotlands Golf Courses Scotland is the home of golf. Thousands visit every year to experience and explore the difficulties and delights of the greatest courses in the world, and most make the pilgrimage to St.Andrews, where the game was first played in the fifteenth century. No matter how good, golfers never believe they have really played the game until they have attempted to master the subtle intricacies of at least one of Scotland`s courses, be it St Andrews or the other Open Championship venues of , Carnoustie, Muirfield, Turnberry, or Royal Troon, or the beautiful Royal Dornoch and Loch Lomond, or any other of Scotland`s great tests of golf.
Fishing in Scotland includes opportunities for salmon, brown trout and sea trout angling , but coarse fishing is increasingly popular. Angling is the most important participation sport in the country. It makes the ideal place for a holiday or vacation and there are a wealth of tackle shops, guides and ghillies who can help you.

Perth Racecourse Attracting competitive fields has always been a high priority at Perth and with the continuing rise in prizemoney (over £500,000 in 2002) with a 50% increase planned for our 2003 season. We are fortunate that in addition to being supported by the ever increasing body of Scottish trainers we also enjoy seeing raiders from the South of England and indeed Ireland on a regular basis. This serves to produce racing full of excitement and competitive spirit, a situation not entirely confined to the racetrack. The unique atmosphere experienced at Perth is like no other in the country. Its intimacy ensures that everyone is close to the action, and able to rub shoulders with the superstars of the jumping game.
